Ivorian visual artist graduated from the Technical Center for Applied Arts in Bingerville, Jean-Baptiste DJEKA is passionate about African culture which is at the center of his art.
Convinced of his vocation from his earliest childhood, DJEKA set himself the goal of becoming a great visual artist; so he always found a way to express his vision, despite the discontent of his family.
Driven by this desire, he begins by deepening his knowledge of African history and culture; the truth. He continued by integrating in 1999 the Technical Center of Applied Arts of Bingerville where he will have the possibility of refining his talent of draftsman.
With his African cultural knowledge, he decided to address the question of "THE ESOTERIC AFRICAN HERITAGE" for his end-of-study project in 2003.
Aware that the academic training is only part of the way to his for about 03 years he acquires a practical training alongside painters such as DIOMANDE, FADAÏRO, b>AUGUSTIN KASSI and STENKA.
DJEKA, after 15 years of experience, has more than 10 collective and individual exhibitions all over the world, several residences of artistic creation.
Always true to himself and driven by a desire to contribute to his community, DJEKA makes various cultural trips in the sub-region always in search of knowledge because for him knowledge is as they say "an inexhaustible source" .
